Who we are

XMET is formulator of stock feed supplements to increase farm productivity and combat climate change

XMET is seeking to:

  • maintain or improve farm productivity

  • reduce methane emissions from cattle and sheep

  • collaborate and build a rapidly scalable technology to deliver our solution to farmers

I’m Tim Charlton, innovator and Founder of XMET™.

Methane is one of three major greenhouse gases driving climate change. In Australia, methane from cattle and sheep accounts for 70% of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions.

Feed supplements are a promising solution but currently they don’t give the productivity gains to offset the cost to farmers.

XMET™ aims to transform biomass harvest residues into a stock feed supplement to give farmers a ROI of at least 200% and reduce ruminant methane by at least 50%.

Other key differentiators are:

  • A low emission manufacture process that is rapidly scalable; and,

  • Improved soil fertility from the supplement’s residual persistent carbon.

In the lab we achieve up to 90% methane reduction and we plan for animal trials within 12 months.

Our ambition is to help farmers boost their profits and cut their carbon footprint.
